Oh, what a tangled Web we weave
Did the Web encourage Chuck Palahniuk to out himself too hastily?

A story so funny it's sad, or vice versa. Or does it even fucking matter?!

It's sad, yeah.

However, it makes me look at "fight club" in a different way.

IMHO, Fight Club was always homoerotic. But that has no bearing on why I didn't like it.

Guy Movie or Gay Movie?

And to think that Fight Club is considered such a straight man's movie! I wonder what all those macho types will think. I wonder if most people know that Fight Club was first a novel written by Chuck Palahniuk, anyway.

I don't care what Chuck Palahniuk's sexual preferences are. I think the real lesson is to stop and think before writing or saying something. Or to at least read something twice before commenting on it. In the Information Age, that lesson is a crucial one.

BTW - I did get a copy of RoF Magazine and read your cool story. I long to get my hands on a copy of Silvertide, but I know these things can take time...

Re: Guy Movie or Gay Movie?
Amen.

Hey, glad you found the mag, and glad you liked the story. Thanks, on both counts!

When I actually finish the revised draft of Silvertide, there's always a chance I'll need to solicit comments from advance readers....

Silvertide

I love to read, and would be honored to give advance comments on Silvertide.

Leave me a comment in my LJ (avinday) if you need a reader...

Best of luck with the revised draft!

Re: Silvertide
Thanks! It'll be a while, like months, but I'll drop you a note when it's time.
