Awesome.

I've long thought that a better tactic than just "Intelligent Design isn't science, dumbass," would be "You want us to teach Intelligent Design in science class? You betcha. We'll teach it alongside Norse mythology, all the ancient African, Indo-European, and Native American creation stories we can find, and anything else that will allow us to illuminate the difference between empirically-based theory and belief systems that do their dangdest to explain stuff before we knew better."

I don't like validating Intelligent Design, but by the way it's gaining credence everywhere through the argument that all sides should be presented, I think taking that idea to an extreme could show its ludicrousness.

Plus I think the ID debate is a marvelous opportunity for teachers to define what science is, and what it isn't, so kids understand how to differentiate science from other things that could be true, but aren't science.
