I have defeated the Bourbon County Brand Stout, but I fear it is a Pyrrhic victory at best.

That sounds pretty close to Sam Adams Barley Wine or Old Crustacean -- in other words, like half vodka, half soy sauce.

That's a fair description, except take that and thicken it with molasses and wood pulp.

That's definitely penance beer -- the sort you give to a kid if you want to scare him away from beer for a good long time!
