Scattered notes on moving to Chicago, card #5
I am told there are two seasons in Chicago—winter and construction. Well, construction season is over.

You Chicagoans would not believe how little snow it takes to bring DC to its knees. Yesterday was that rare occasion where the snow started too late for the schools to close, so we got three inches (in my backyard at least) and yet the schools were open on time.

I have been in Chicago in the winter. I don't think I could live there. Brr.

Ha! Welcome to my world. Today hit a high of -19C, and tomorrow will apparently top out at -27, and there's lots of snow. They're predicting the coldest winter in 15 years, so it looks like it's back for sure.
