I never made the connection before! "Sweetbreads" are brains. Zombies eat brains. Ergo, France is a nation of zombies!

A pancreas by any other name...
Actually, "sweetbreads" refers specifically to the thymus gland and pancreas. "Brains" is its own category. That said, they do eat brains in France....
