A grand Chicago tradition, going back to when Hinky Dink Kenna and Bathhouse John paid vagrants for their vote with sandwiches and beer.

Dead serious. The local bar right around the corner from us, where we're going to go to watch the early returns, has its back room set up as our local polling station. If we hadn't voted early, that is where we would have voted today. This is apparently common in Chicago.
