Dear signmaker
Um, yeah, it's not a "condo" if it's for "rent."

Aaaaactually, that is possible. It implies that the individual condo owner is renting out his/her unit, rather than an investment property company renting out one of many units.

I used to own a condo that I rented out.

I have a friend who insisted that "condo" was a style of housing (rather then a means of ownership). To him it was synonymous with "townhouse". It took awhile, but I finally convinced him.

It required multiple beatings.
